GG30 & LG30 MAINTENANCE

NOZZLE INSPECTION – RECOMMENDED EVERY 6-12 MONTHS

  1. Check for any apparent physical damage to components of Nozzle.
  2. Inspect Swivel Nut/Nose Piece seals for damage (ie cuts or excessive wear).
  3. Check that there is free rotation of Swivel Nut between the pawl stops. Make sure the Pawl and Pawl Spring are functioning correctly. The Pawl should not be interfering with the ratchet lugs on the Swivel Nut when the Lever is inactive.
  4. Inspect the nozzle Inlet Swivel. The Swivel should be secured by the Grub Screw through the nozzle body.
  5. Check the free movement of the Valve through the Slide Sleeve Assembly when not connected to an adaptor, (i.e., activate the Lever several times) making sure there is free movement forward and the Valve returns to its inactive position.
  6. Inspect the Latch Assembly making sure that the bushes are firmly attached to the Latch Pin. The Latch Spring must hold the Latch above the Lever Latch Pin before latching.
  7. Fit a blanked adaptor to the front Bayonet Insert. Activate the Lever and check for Valve opening (There is usually an audible “click”). Whilst the Valve is open, check for Nose Seal and “U” Seal leakage using soapy water.
  8. Using soapy water check for leaks at inlet Swivel, Nozzle Body & Valve Assembly.
  9. If there is Seal leakage or Body leakage, it is recommended that the Seals associated with the leakage be replaced.

TWENTY-FOUR MONTH INSPECTION.

L.G. Equipment recommends that a new Seal Kit be fitted throughout the Nozzle. Whilst this may seem extreme it will extend the life/service life of the Nozzle and reduce the occurrence of Nozzle downtime in service. Refer to the LG30 Gasguard Maintenance and Repair Manuals for the servicing of Nozzles.
